Christmas Noonday Giveaway!

I am not particularly gifted with gift-giving. I have a couple friends who are, though. They’re the type that give you something so perfect you didn’t even realize you wanted it until you’re holding it. Or, they give you something you barely remember mentioning to them in passing months ago. I am consistently overwhelmed by their thoughtfulness.

Seriously, overwhelmed.

I don’t know what I would have done had I lived in an age before gift cards. I suppose I would have been the person that just gave cash. I mean, who knows what you really want better than you do? I have no vision for gift giving. I can’t imagine what someone would want without wandering a store until I find something that speaks to me.

Maybe someday I’ll have time for a leisurely shopping trip, sipping an egg nog latte, but for now I’m just thankful my husband is one of those gifted with giving and that Amazon Prime will have it on the porch day after tomorrow. One of the sounds of Christmas for me now is our dog trying to protect us from the big, rumbling delivery truck.

All very romantic, I know.

I would love to give something to all you wonderful friends. The way you’ve encouraged me, especially this past year, has just been over the top. You bless me and I want to give back. I just had no idea how or with what. I mean, a new post seems kind of lame. (You’re going to get that anyway.)

But then, then I got this amazing idea! And gift ideas don’t just happen for me, so it was all very exciting!

I want to give away something worth winning. I figure I should give away something that I would want to win. I’d like to give away something that blesses the hands that made it.

It’s classic but it’s trendy, it matches everything (I dare you to find something it doesn’t work with) and takes any outfit to the next level. It’s handwoven in Guatemala, creating economic opportunity for women who are now able to pay for their kids’ education with their earnings. Noonday even has a video about Angelica (the scarf’s namesake) and the weaving process here. Now this is a gift that is gifted with giving!
